We evaluate use-case fit, evidence quality, total cost, and company and product terms. These dimensions guide research; they are not converted into a decorative score when the underlying evidence cannot support that precision.
Evidence levels
Research-based means an assessment relies on provider primary sources, company records where relevant, current product pages and documented account information. Hands-on is used only after we operate or benchmark the exact product and preserve enough context to reproduce the result.
Company jurisdiction gate
SmarterBuyLab does not recommend providers headquartered or operated in mainland China or Hong Kong. A provider with an unresolved operating entity remains on publication hold: no review page, purchase CTA, ranking inclusion or sitemap entry.
Price and performance
Prices, discounts, resource allocations and renewal terms change. We publish them only with a source and verification date. Network performance is specific to the plan, datacenter, route, test method and time; a single result is never presented as a permanent provider-wide guarantee.
Update and correction process
Material product pages are reviewed when terms change or new evidence appears. We correct factual errors without waiting for an affiliate partner and label any material methodology change. Readers can report issues through the contact page.
